We have dined at this restaurant numerous times and have never gone away disappointed - or hungry. Portions are large, fresh natural ingredients, many items made from scratch on premises. Carson City is still desert and the weather can change quickly and dramatically. While I was visiting it was fairly warm; then they predicted snow overnight. The snowfall did not quite get to the elevation of Carson City but was rather heavy slightly higher. You need to keep an eye on the weather here.

Ice and snow accumulate on the balcony of the room at the Mount Charleston Hotel. By midday, most of it has melted into slush. But overnight frosty temperatures will replenish the accumulation.

Elko has a reasonably good-sized, interesting downtown that offers more varied sights and eating, etc., than one will find along I-80. I recommend visiting here, whether just driving through town or not, to get a better taste of town and what it has to offer.
