Muckenthaler MansionThough the name isn't so pretty like, say, Armani, The Muckenthaler is an exquisite cultural center found in an off the beaten path part of Fullerton, miles away from the city center. What's very striking about the setting for this arts and humanities institution is the hilltop mansion which serves as host in the lovely northern...

Fullerton's Fun Farmer's Market at...
There are many towns that have farmer's market days throughout So Cal, but this one is probably the most entertaining. Besides food, there is often a concert of local talent, a variety of kids programs and a beer garden which inspires a few individuals to be rather silly and loud, all in good fun though. There is no short of great quality foods-...

See where it gets steamy!
Serving as a spot for jazzy music and a place to grab late night grub, Steamers is a unique spot in downtown Fullerton, and for Orange County at large. This is a kind of place grown folks go- those in the 30-40 crowd usually, but anyone into jazz and a more quiet nighttime venue would enjoy the atmosphere here. Some big names in jazz have played...

Well, Friday night began innocent enough in good ol' Fullerton. Among the booming dining spots that locals and others go to for a Friday filling is Revolucion. This is a typical Mexican-style joint eaterie serving up tacos, burritos, frijoles (y mucho mas). It is not really worthy to make a restaurant tip for it, at least a highly recomendable one...

Do you need clown shoes?
I discovered this place while roaming around. The HUGE clown shoes in the window caught my eye and I wandered in. Our Lady of Stewart (Martha)
This is a picture of part 2 of a tryptich(3) of gothic-style oil paintings I'm working on. The joke is that we are all doing rock-paper-scissors with our hands. It's about people, what they mean to me in particular, and the icons and symbols involved with each individual. I'm painting it at school, so it's appropriate to this page. This is Ilana,...

Our Lady of Hard Knocks
Part 1 of my big project last year: the Modern Day Saints Series. The master plan is to create a painting of each of my friends into modern versions of saints. I've got two male frinds in the works right now as Patron Saints of Afros and Anger/Destruction. This is Meghan, my good friend since first grade. She formerly used and quite abused drugs...I mean serious stuff here. We lost close touch for a few years while she was cleaning up her act. Now she's clean and loves to write, hence the notebook & ballpoint pen. The drugs set her back many years though. At least she's straight again. She rules.

Good luck painting
Miscellaneous: Fullerton is warmer than the coast of CA. It would be wise to bring a t-shirt and shorts in the summer, and a jacket for the night-time. Winter is never really all that cold either. This is a Good luck painting in oil. The book is The Catcher in the Rye. Symbols from around the world.

A Little Charming Hike in Town
If you want to escape the city while being close to it still, come to charming Hillcrest Park. It is so peaceful though it is along busy Harbor Blvd. Locals love to walk and jog around here. Race up a down the rustic stairs. This is a great spot also for a picnic. Come here for a break from the city despite being smack in the middle of the city.
The park, first opened in 1922, is well maintained. One of the oldest conservation groups in the U.S., Izaak Walton league approves on the clean grounds, It meets here for scheduled gatherings in a cabin.
