Snow Goose, Anchorage

The Snow Goose Restaurant have live music all week long. It is a restaurant with it's own brewery. My favorite on a sunny summer day is a drink and a cigar on their open deck looking out over Sleeping Lady and Cook Inlet.
Friday nights they have Firkin Friday where a newly brewed beer is combined with a live musical act. And there's also Accoustic Saturdays where you can listen to local artists with no cover charge. Open Mic night on Thursdays brings out a lot of local talent. And they have concerts from nationally known bluegrass, country and folk artists, such as Arlo Guthrie last fall.
So good food, good brew, good music and a great view. What else do you need?
Dress Code: This is Alaska remember - dress code is whatever you like.
There is nothing like a good cigar! Here is a bar that caters to smokers. Their selection of smokes is limited, so bring your own favorite to puff on. They also have a good selection of beers. I had the "Fish On!" India Pale Ale and Gretchen had the "Old Gander" Barley-Wine Style Ale.
Dress Code: Slightly upscale, but come as you are
You will have a great time dining and drinking in Anchorage.
Try a core which gives you the chance to try four beers.
Dress Code: Smart at night very casual in the daytime.
