Humpy's has become a very popular spot the past five years or so. Very large on the inside, they have a great menu and a very wide selection of beverages. Live music most nights with a solo local artist week nights and larger groups like the Hawaiian Regae band H2 on weekends. A wide spectrum of ages, but my son tells me it's a singles bar.
The place gets a decent sized crowd most nights and gets really packed Friday and Saturday night. Back before the smoking ban and when I still smoked, it was a good place to eat and relax after a hard day. Huge selection of local brews on tap.
Dress Code: Anything goes. With the Performing Arts Center just across the street you might even see a few tuxedos.
As with many places in the Northwest and Alaska, Humpy's takes their beer selection very seriously. Their beer menu rotates several time a week, so there is never a shortage of new beers to try. This is a must visit in Anchorage for a relaxing drink.
