Amsterdam's Luxury Hotel
After being let down by our hotel room in Paris, we were delighted with our fourth floor room in Amsterdam. Only problem, the view of construction out front. Oh well, we were gone all day. Great Cafe at the corner (not in the hotel) - The Grand Cafe with great food and reasonably priced. Wonderful shower and bathroom at the hotel.
Unique Quality: Great staff and attention to detail. Business center for Internet access. Lovely accomodations. Pool and breakfast. The staff roll from one language to the next to accomodate their guests.
Directions: Walking distance to most everything except Anne Frank House and things north.

The Amstel Hotel
One of Amsterdam's most reputable hotels, the Amstel Hotel is no disappointment. The hotel is situated in a secluded area on the Amstel River, but close to downtown, and is housed in a purposefully built palatial hotel edifice from the 19th century. Service is top quality, rooms are large and comfortable. The shower is AMAZING! I've stayed at the Amstel three times briefly while travelling on business: July/August 2005, May 2012, and May 2013.

AMSTEL HOTEL AMSTERDAM
This ***** Grand Hotel isn't only for the rich and famous. When money is the issue you can just have a nice drink in the Amstel Bar, after a shop or a Carre Theatre show, or just for the fun. My best stay was with Miss Priscilla Presley, a celebrity some years ago (ex-wife or Elvis Presley). We enjoyed the privacy and were able to shoot some great photographs. The food (La Rive), the services, all of the environment is of great experience and love the terrace ... when money is not the issue go for the AMSTEL HOTEL AMSTERDAM!
Unique Quality: The AMSTEL HOTEL AMSTERDAM, built in 1863, is supplied with sauna, fitness room (have a great massage) and swimmingpool inside. The rooms are excellent and for sure ***** ! Park your car in front of the hotel. Or travel by tram line 13, 14, 17. Sitting on the terrace you'll have a great Amstel river view! And try a canal-ride ... ask at the lobby of the AMSTEL HOTEL AMSTERDAM
Directions: Along the Amstel river, close to Theatre Carre

The most expensive Amsterdam hotel
This is Amsterdam's most exclusive hotel, where movie stars and heads of state will stay.
2014 update: The hotel has been sold to the Katara Hospitality group from Qatar.
Unique Quality: Enrty by boat at the hotel's own Amstel landing-stage.
Directions: South of the Stopera/Waterlooplein at the East side of the Amstel river
