Great Value & Fantastic Location
This hotel was budget friendly compared to other hotels in the area. The room was more spacious than most of our other rooms in Asia. We had both a queen bed and a twin. The bathroom had a small soaking tub with a shower. The commode was fancy with a bidet and seat warmer. Most importantly, our room was quiet, the AC worked, and the beds were comfy. Free wifi was also available. The breakfast buffet with eggs, toast, pastries, rice, dumplings, fruit, yogurt, cereal, etc. was included in the room price.
From the airport, take 6015 limousine bus, which will drop you off in front of the Ibis Hotel. The KAL limo bus service is situated at exit #4 & 5 in the arrival hall on the ground floor. Metro Hotel is about a 2 minute walk. Also, you can take the metro #2 green line to Euljiro 1-ga station. It is about a 5 minute walk from this station. If you take the lift out of the station, you will come out at an intersection, where you will cross to the far opposite side (toward all the skyscrapers with the red SKs on top). Keep going down this street until you see the Ibis (the English letters are on the side, rather than the front). The Metro Hotel is behind the Ibis. The hotel is about a 7 minute walk to the light blue line at Myungdong station. Metro hotel is located in the middle of Myeongdong, which is full of shopping and restaurants. As a matter of fact, our most delicious meal was at Outback steakhouse, which is actually connected by a door in the lobby of the hotel. Smoothie King is connected directly to the lobby by another door.
The employees at the counter were always polite and spoke English. They even assisted in booking a last-minute tour of the DMZ for us, by calling several different tour companies until finding one that would swing by and pick us up that very morning.
This one was one of the best hotels we stayed at during our month-long vacation. I would definitely recommend this location and stay here again!

Reasonably Priced Dowtown Accommadation
Friendly English speaking staff provide easy check in. Rooms are a little small but adequate. TV and LAN internet access. Quiet at night considering it's downtown location. Overall I was very pleased.

Metro Hotel
Stayed at the Metro Hotel from July 21-24th, right in the city center of Myeongdong.
A TGIFs is right next door and the Lotte department store and hotel complex is a block or so away.
Unique Quality: Decent facilities but great location, especially close to the shopping areas.
