J W Marriott, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Hotel has a superb location, just nearly across the famous Petronas Towers which u can reach in walking in several minutes ... Main shopping district, all kind of entertainment such as Planet Holywood, bars and restaurants are same district ...
Well furnished high tech rooms, minibar, bathtub, well service of housekeeping, large swimming pool, spa, amazing buffet breakfast w an endless sort of dishes of all kind of asian and oriental food, large and comfy lobby and recreation areas ...
I did stay in that Hotel several times and also very recommendable in case u r on a business trip as u can have ur guests in the meeting rooms of the hotel for your short / long term business meetings ...
Directions: Golden Triangle, just across the Petronas Twin Towers, Jalan Sultan Ismail.

Beautiful Hotel near Star Hill Complex
I've stayed here once and it was a great 4-star hotel with all the luxurious and comfortable facilities to satisfy a fussy business man.
It is very close to the Star Hill Shopping Mall (next door), Lot 10 and Sungai Wang Shopping Complexes. Also 5 - 10 minutes to China town (Petaling Street) and other business centres and entertainment areas.

JW Marriott absolute no Marriott standard !!
For the past 8 years used to stay at this hotel 6 times annually. During my next stay in Kuala Lumpur won't stay any more at the JW Marriott. Except for it's price, M$ 500 a night without breakfast, this is no longer a 5-star accomodation. Though have been staying here for so many times the people from reception still not friendly nor recognize a regular guest. The maintaince of the rooms or suites are poor. Toilet and fridge and airco were not working. Beside two lights inside the room were broken.
This hotel seems to move it's breakfast location every year. And every year the location is getting more worse. Right now it's located around the swimmingpool. Which is actually too hot.
The breakfast buffet is very simple and absolutely not 5 star. You have to order your omelet and toast from the waiter. Normally it takes about 25 - 40 minutes before you got your food. During my last stay they forgot twice to bring my food. They lounge is only by invitation and you're not allowed to bring your children.
Unique Quality: This hotel doesnot have a coffeehouse
English language among the hotel staff is poor
Maintaince of hotel is poor
Wheelchair or baby stroller unfriendly
The lounge is only by invitation and doesnot allow children nor can you bring a guest
Staff in the lounge is very unfriendly and doesnot make you feel home.
Funny non-smoking policy; in most non-smoking rooms it's smells like there has been smoked inside.
In front of the hotel there's a huge shopping mall under construction; noisy and dusty
Next to the hotel is the Westin hotel; if you don't close your curtains you won't have any privacy in your hotel
Very difficult to get a taxi from this hotel
Concierge desk is very poor
Internet connection is more off-line than online

Wonderful hotel in BB
For most of my trip, I stayed at the Concorde and then upgraded for a special treat to the Mariott in BB. I probably would have stayed here longer just to enjoy the BB area a bit more. For Americans, so much value.
A five star hotel, with great service. Everyone was professional and helpful. The room had a king size bed with 7 or more pillows on top. See the pix. The room had great views of the mountains and Petronas Towers. The hotel is located in the Golden Triangle, the lively and vibrant shopping area with vibrant restaurants and entertainment.
Free parking was included.
Unique Quality: There is so much available right outside your door. There are a number of international restaurants available on the bottom floor...including a great Thai restauant. Just outside the hotel, is a canopied Starbucks, Planet Hollywood, Lot 10, and Wang center across the street. The monorail is just down the street.
Directions: BB area

Luxury Modern Hotel
Stayed in this hotel a few times before.
Located right beside a shopping centre and near to Planet Hollywood. Restaurants and cafes are only minutes away.
Unique Quality: Conveniently located within walking distances to the major shopping and eating areas of Kuala Lumpur.
Room rates from approximately RM225 onwards. Hotel room is nicely furnished with a sofa. Bathroom is also nice.
The rate is rather expensive but the buffet breakfast is excellent.

One of the Best
This hotel is superb through and through. From it's intimiate foyer to it's grand ballroom, every part of this hotel has being design to draw you in. I was fortunate enough to stay in one of it's spacious suite during my engagement and wedding.
This is a must if you can spot the extra cash. It'll be worth your while. Also, you have to visit it Executive Lounge on the utmost floor of the hotel. It's a perfect place to spend having your breakfast

Very good value for money
We stayed at the Marriot for 3 nights & loved it. We had origanally planned to stay at the Shangri La but after reading comments on the VT that the Marriot had a better location we changed our palns & certainly didn't regret it. I will definitely stay there again.

Commercialised
We arrived there at 3am and there unfortunately wasn't anyone to greet us or help us with our bags. I felt that the service was ok, but didn't like the swimming pool because the cafe was right at the edge of the pool. No privacy at all. THe room was quite small and the toilet doors are really irrritating when you want to try to close it.

A 5 * accomodation ?
Unique Quality: The JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur is one of nine distinctive JW Marriotts around the world, and was the first Marriott to open in Malaysia. In 1999, YTL Hotels & Properties acquired this Hotel, which is ideally located in the central business district of the city. The stylish JW Marriott anchors the popular Bintang Walk.
Directions: 75 kilometres from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at Sepang.
Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur's central business district, the Golden Triangle, with major office buildings and prime shopping areas within walking distance.
