Annunciation Cathedral
This cathedral was also built on the ruins of the old cathedral blown up by the authorities in 1941.
It looks very solemn and impressive with its numerous murals and lavish embellishments and domes!
The monastery belfry with its height of 96 metres used to dominate the hills over the Dnipro until the Motherland statue was erected nearby in 1982.  You didn't answer me about the best time to go to Kiev I am reading your Kiev site again ..its wonderful. ? I have a friend working there and he has invited me.
