Subjects and objects.. At least we still have hope.. 'Like a dark rose lying in ambush Both faded and fresh..." (Hilmi Yavuz.Poet.Zaman Siirleri) "I,myself" says,Arthur Schopenhauer(1788-1860).." know myself through these two aspects.I know myself as body, something that has a certain size and shape, covering space in environment, continuity in time and an object that exist within cause-effect connection with other objects. But at the same time I know myself also as a subject that feels and acts, desires and chases its desires,a strugling creature, ask with one word,a subject that wills freely. Deep in my conscious, this spiritual existence opens itself to me beyond the limitations of time and environment and beyond cause and effect network. It is known by me precisely and within deep privacy more than any other things and I feel it constantly and concretely. But it is a fact that knowing myself is related to each other through certain aspects. This body of mine, this object in the environment, through some aspects are same and one with my spiritual existence. In my ego I evaluate as objects and subjects is united and as a result I see deep in my conscious dawn is breaking. Will is the reality behind the sense perceptions.." |
Central Asia's magnificent IKAT Chapans.. For hundred of years, until today,Central Asia has been famous for its textiles. At the center of the silk road, the wokshops of Bokara,Semerkand and Fergama were the centers for textile production. Undoubtedly the highest artistic point of Eastern handcrafted textile is IKAT.Due to the complexity of weaving technique and production quality, ikats are highly valued. In IKAT,as in the works of futurist painters, the colors move and the result is a magnificent contemporary work of art.Long admired by emirs and ruling elite.Their outfits were made of Ikat fabric. These important textiles were so valued that emirs gave them as gifts to visiting princes, ambassadors and high level guests. In addition to gifts, they were used a form of payment for services.Taxes collected for state were often paid in Ikat Chapans.. Disappearing Architecture of China.October 2007 Woodcarwings: Traditional carpentry falls into two areas--making the body structure and decorating or woodcarving. Woodcarving can be further divided into construction-carving,furniture-c arving and furnising-carving.It includes hollowed-out works, relief carvings, shollow carvings,stereo-circular carvings and hollowed-out appliques. According to texture of the wood, woodcarving can be discerned as hardwood-carving and cork-carving. Woodcarving has a long history that stretches back as far as prehistoric society.During the warring States Period, woodcarving evolved from the premitive technigues of the Shang Dynasty. These technigues included line and flower-carving in pottery-making,intaglio on coffins and stereo-circular carving. From the Tang and Song Dynasties to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the technique was gradually perfected... |
"Are you happy to be exist and breathe in a city." The cities that we live in are the schools of death, because of inhumanity, these cities are the crossing points of roaring and smell of death bodies, every city is a chaos composed of buildings,by crowding these cities in millions. We are losing our purpose of life .We desperate unluckly beings feel ourselves more or less, entered the ridiculous labyrint and the only way out is negative, because our destiny is to produce and sole goal is to die,the cities,we live in goes along as the wheel turns without notice, and with the desire to unite with each other. The process is though to chaos within the roaring and smell of death. Each turn of wheel the land value increases and within the labyrint that swallows the free zones the city walls are raising day by day.Because it is necessary to earn from money and necessity of the progress of the cities that we live in,raising of every generations' houses twice the descendants and water cuts once a day are plausible.Only desire of architects is to escape from the fate that they built for us and live in rural areas.(Breviaire du chaos-Albert Caraco) |

the Beauty of Medusa(a sea nymph) Still others affirm that Medusa was a beautiful woman and the hope of many suitors, and that the most beautiful in her was her magnificent hair. However, fair Medusa was ravished in the temple of Athena by Poseidon, and in order to punish this deed,Athena changed the beautiful locks of Medusa, into repugnant snakes..
