Our names are Lori & Hans,we live in Canada, most southern part of Canada, just outside of the City Windsor ,in the province of Ontario.
Lori & I love to travel . When I found VT, I got very excited .I now can do what I have wanted to do for so long ,sharing our experiences with other people , and to communicate with other travellers.
The picture taken of the two of us is made in front of the '' Detroit River from the Canadian side.
The Detroit river divides our two great countries, Canada & USA.
I was born in the City '' Delft '' a very nice old City in the Netherlands ,this City located between the Cities The Hague and Rotterdam.
At age 16 I went to a school for boys and we were trained for 2 years for the Kustvaart ,(Merchant Marine),after that I worked on Dutch Ships for 5 years.
Then I went to Spain and lived in Spain '' Alicante '' for one year.
In 1968 I went back home to the Netherlands and got Drafted in the Dutch Army.
In June 1970 at age 25 I emigrated to Canada an arrived in ''Windsor Ontario Canada .In October 1970 I joined a '' Singles Bowling League ''.
I met Lori in this League and at Christmas 1970 I found the nerves and asked Lori for a Date and we dated and Labour Day weekend 1971 we got engaged in '' Holland
Michigan USA .''
We got married Dec 18 1971 .
We have two children ,Nicole & Brian ,they are all grown up and live their own life's.
We are a very Happy couple ,we love to travel and love to meet people during our travels .
We love to communicate with other VT members ,write us an E-mail at any time and we will respond.

7000 mile trip in 3 weeks (it was to much driving in that short time, but we saw a whole lot).

| | THE SURPRISING LONDON UK VT MEETING JAN 2006 Yes it was a bit of a surprise to some when Hansi decided to make the trip to London from Malaga with Stace and Carmen who were so kind to let me tag along with them.
We had an awsome and fun weekend in London and I met with many new members that I did not know and I met with VT'rs that I really was looking forward to meet and I also met some VT'rs that I had met before .
I am glad that I did make the trip and I had an awsome time.
The weekend was very well organized by Jenniflower & Keida84 ,and I got to see a whole lot of London during the Tour of the Tower of London and of course during all the walking we did to restaurants and going in and out the London Tube .
And on sunday morning the boat River Tour was a wonderful way to end this great weekend .
Many thanks to Carmen & Stace who took good care of me because I was without my LoriPori and that means I would be '' Lost '' by myself .
I will try to get as many pictures of the weekend in the London Travelogues.

These are our Vt meetings during 2005 Europe trip. I will use this spot in my home page to show a summary of the latest VT meetings Lori & I attended on our latest Europe trip and also give an overview of what we did .
No we did not '' Smooch '' all the time ,we had a wonderful trip .
First we had a meeting in Delft with

Syl took us in her car and toured the area ,too bad it was raining ,we visited hubby Jos at his work and after that Syl made us a great Macaroni Dinner and we danced after dinner

After that we went to Lanaken Pictures at Wies & Johan's
Belgium where we stayed a few days with JohanL and his lovely wife Wies ,they were both fantastic Hosts and Tour guides .
We visted several places in Belgium during this wonderful weekend.
The food that Wies made was extraordinaire and we loved it .

After staying with Johan & Wies ,we stayed with our wonderful friends Ilse & Marcel & Maaike & Tim .This was our second stay with them .
We met Ilse's lovely Parents ,and we had a great 4 days at Matim

We did some wonderful thinks together ,bicycling ,walking going to two VT meetings together .
This was very special time with a very SPECIAL Family who Lori & I feel VERY close to ,like family .

I have known Lucy for almost 3 years ,we met in the VT chatroom .
Lucy got married with Dan just a few weeks later then our daughter Nikki.
Lucy told me Hey Walito we are coming to see you .
Lucy calls me waalito because my name in the VT chatroom was waal so she added a Mexican twist to my name and calls me Waalito
So we met with Lucy & Dan early September and we spent some time in Windsor by the river and then went to Waalito and Lorita 's house to have a pizza ,Dan T Lucy Looove Pizza .hehe

Martman from Toronto let me know that he planned on meeting a friend (Dora) from Chicago in Windsor Ontario .
I told Martin ,lets meet up for a few hours and we did .
We met at the Mc Donalds in Windsor near the tunnel and then we walked along rhe Detroit River .
It was fun and we hope that we will meet these wonderful two young people again (see picture of the 4 of us )
