    • Many concerts and gala meetings take place at the City Conference Center - a gem of the Soviet architecture, a much better and more modern building and very well taken care of unlike that of Luhansk.
    I remember we were taken to this conference center during my first stay in the city when I was there with a group of German folk dancers.
    There is also a movie theater in this building. It is called Idyll.

    • Like in many other towns and cities in the south of Luhansk region, many people in this city use local stone called "savage stone" here - stratified stone. They use it for building fences and whole houses here.

     Victor, very interesting page about this city in Eastern Ukraine. As I have now explored many places in the West of your country I would really like to see more of the other half of it. Thanks for the explanation of the meaning of "Shakhtar".
