This café opens at 7 a.m.
    We had our breakfast there.
The cheburekis were delicious (big thin meat pies deep fried in sunflower oil).
They only have instant coffee, though.

    Favorite Dish: Chebureki and minipizza

Like in many restaurants, there is a DJ here. His service is included into your bill.
You can order almost any piece of music with a dedication there (“Dedicated to our friend so-and-so…). So make your own disco!
The order of a song will cost you 10 UAH – nothing to weep about!
When I was there with our Austrian friends, we ordered a fiery music by “Chinghiz-Khan” there. Our Austrian friends and us danced with pleasure.

  • Restaurant Name: Shish Kebab Place

This nice place has an outside terrace that is very popular in the summer.
We had our dinner in the main hall.
In fact, the restaurant owner Edward Dzhaginyan whom we met by accident during our city drive in search of veterans invited us there. Eddie has lived in Rovenki for about forty years already and has tried many businesses until he stopped at shish kebab place. He himself is from Tbilissi, the capital of Georgia.
The restaurant is at the end of Dzerzhinsky Street, one bus top away from “Batiscaf” nightclub, next to the chapel with the Holy Well.

Favorite Dish: Shish kebab with lavash, vegetable salad with paprika.

Hi Victor ! Your pages & tips are really amazing! If I were not selecting one of your tips as a cultural freak, I would certainly become a fan due to your restaurant-tips! Wünsche Dir eine schöne Woche ! Willy

Victor, very interesting page about this city in Eastern Ukraine. As I have now explored many places in the West of your country I would really like to see more of the other half of it. Thanks for the explanation of the meaning of "Shakhtar".
