"White Tower Forest" | On the way to the capital |
Belarus, the northern neighbor of Ukraine, has vast mixed forests which occupy one-third of the republic’s territory. This country takes pride in its rich nature: both flora and fauna. A huge state reserve called “White Tower Forest” is located on the border with Poland. Aurochs is the main animals under protection there. You can meet lots of other animals in Belarus forests.

|  | The Republic's Capital The republic’s capital Minsk is connected to all the five regional centers by railroads and motorways. I have visited this country four times and each time my destination was Vitsebsk. I also had a short stay in Minsk on my way back. It’s a nice European city worth visiting. I was very impressed by the local language, especially by its pronunciation: very close to both Russian and Ukrainian, yet sounds very funny to us.

Rich Nature The country if famous for its flat surface and its rich nature in general. The highest elevation - 346 m – occurs in the Minsk Highlands. The numerous lakes of Belarus, its pictuiresque mighty rivers and national parks brought fame to this country. Some rivers are navigable.
